The present moment offers so much more than just what meets the eye.
What meets the eye, is a great place to meet the present moment. Just take a moment to see what’s in your space. Have a look around and just be in the space without thought/thinking and engage that which is there.
When you are out and about being in nature, taking a movement to be aware of what’s there is a wonderful way to be in the awareness of the present moment.
Engaging someone in conversation by being present to what the other person is saying is another way to be in the present moment. Listen without any internal dialogue and do a deep dive into their eyes with your eyes connect make that connection a priority instead of your opinion.
The present moment thus becomes the space for what is happening and in that space, you can observe and engage.
You will see there is so much more to the present moment than meets the eye. It becomes a wonderful tool for developing the tool of awareness. The art of just being with what is is in fact a movement into the stillness of just being with what is in this moment. This one thing can be very transformative to your conscious way of being.
Spiritual growth comes from blending the experience of the present moment with the inner experience of stillness, the deeper I Am. Often it is perceived that meditation practice is separate from the rest of daily life.
One takes a moment to meditate and then gets up to go to work or do something and leaves the practice behind.
But it is the blending of the two that perpetuates a permanence in one’s experience of consciousness.
The present moment is an ongoing awareness of what is available to the sensory perceptions as well as what is happening now within the deeper sense of the I Am
In the next conversation I will talk more about the I AM.
