Becoming one is merging the inner and outer experience.

There are many interpretations used to describe oneness, such as harmony, union, sameness, and unity to name but a few.

It is often described as a state of being joined as one and no longer separate or in duality.

But really oneness by definition is incomparable. Because to understand or experience anything we need to compare it to something else, which immediately brings us into duality.

By itself nothing has existence, everything needs its own absence. Light and dark, sweet and sour, love and hate. To be is to be distinguishable.

So the only way to know oneness is by direct experience when we go beyond the mind, intellect, and ego.

Oneness is the coming together of all opposites, being the underlying essence of everything. It is nothing in itself but has the potential for everything.

Going beyond the senses and being still will get you there. We have all had those breathtaking moments where nothing else exists including thought and we just are what we are with what is…

When we can merge the inner with the outer we move beyond the conditioned mind to become now and not then.

From Deepak Chopra ” every single thing is an aspect of one field of consciousness, the whole never loses contact with its parts, they are never lost or forgotten”.

Often we sit down to meditate and get quiet for 20 min or so then get up and go about our day leaving that sweet experience right there under the Banyon tree, or where ever we do our daily practice. Consider bringing that practice with you as you get up to carpe diem the day even if just for a little bit.
