The Mind Game

  Hi
Can we choose to be centred, or choose for stillness? These are good questions to contemplate when on the spiritual path. They are questions I have often asked myself.
Where is my head at, it’s a crazy thing to notice where the mind is at, and then realize that it is not of the present moment or even reality? The monkey mind is always chasing and looking for the better banana.
The mind game is one that challenges every humane being on this planet. Even Jesus had to overcome his demons when he spent 4o days and nights in the desert fasting and going within.

There are some very simple awareness practices that can help one shift from the confusion of a monkey mind to the awareness of the present moment.
 – Be present to here and now
 – Make awareness a priority
-Get into the flow of what you are doing
– Meditate
– Become body aware
– Breath awareness
 – Sense perception, looking, listening, and touching with awareness

The list goes on. Just as the regular practice goes on.

If you tell your mind “don’t do this” that is all it will do”.  Sadhguru

But if we shift our attention to being the awareness of the experience of what is. Consciousness will become more prevalent. Seek a clear mind and a clean heart. All one needs to do is keep quietly alert, enquiring into the real nature of yourself. That which is aware of what is present to here and now. This is one of the most natural ways to find peace of mind.

Once we find a place of peace one must continually go there and choose for that. With practice, the pendulum will swing from the state of confusion and stress to a place of peace and awareness.

Join us this Monday night for a Zoom call to meditate and Chit Chat at 7 pm. Contact me for meeting details.

Next week May 3 we will be having a yoga Nedra class with Lisa it will be a 45 min class either seated or lying down on a yoga mat with blankets. If you have not done yoga Nedra, it is a deep yogic relaxation and meditation that is guided.
